I know for a fact that White Crane from Weng Chun County [Yong Chun Bai He] had a wide influence in Weng Chun County but for sure, we are not referring to that white crane. Inside Weng Chun county, we also discovered that White crane is not the only style practice there. Furthermore, Our researches are referring the name of Weng Chun to Weng Chun Tim not the Yong Chun Bai He.

Within our family, Kwee King Yang had nine teachers. They taught him a number of styles including:
White Crane [Pe Ho Kun]
Grand Ancestor [Tai Cho Kun]
Five Ancestor [Ngo Cho Kun]
Black tiger [Hei Hu Quan]
Monkey Boxing [Kao Kun]
Lo Han Boxing [Lo Han Quan]
Bodhidharma Boxing [Tat Chun Kun / Da Zun Quan]
Eng Chun ( coming from the Black Flag )

If white crane and Wing Chun is the same thing, then it does NOT make sense because it is referenced as two separate styles by late GM Kwee King Yang.

Additionally, there was a two extremely famous master, Lauw Tjing Tie, from the period around 1800 that came to Indonesia. In his art, he also taught a separate multiple styles such as Tat Chun, Grand Ancestor, White Crane, and Eng Chun (although it’s not exactly the same as that taught by Kwee King Yang).
But based on the fact that he also called out both arts separately it is very clear that there really was an Eng Chun style of its own. Therefore, based on my research, we refer to the Eng Chun Tim that refers to the art from the Eng Chun Tim / Revolution for restoring Ming.

Don’t be confused to the other type of Wing Chun comes from the Red Boat Opera which became the mainstream art popularized by Yip Man. That style has nothing to do with us.
