We are embarking on a growth plan and for the first time in decades we are allowing owner-operated Hek Ki Boen Kun Tao ®schools to be established around the world. Your school will be supported by our extensive training programs produced by Grand Masters and Masters of our art.
Obtaining certification and becoming a school operator and owner is available as an option for you! Let me explain further about the growth and evolution of our schools. The typical profile of a new school owner involves an individual and their family, often with their kids as Hek Ki Boen Kun Tao ® students as well, who are tired or bored with their career and decided that being an educator with Hek Ki Boen Kun Tao ® sure beats whatever they have been doing (Working in jobs and / or positions that paid the bills but were not rewarding or self fulfilling) After asking a few questions and really watching our schools in action, they decide that with proper training, running a Hek Ki Boen Kun Tao ® school sure is more interesting, self fulfilling, and possibly more financially rewarding than other career opportunities that are available to them. After developing an interest they learn about our requirements and then “take the plunge”!! You begin with our intensive “boot camp training” in both martial arts and martial arts school operations and administration. Following their graduation from our Instructor Certification Program, our regional developers and marketing consultant department helps them find and lease a space to become our newest school. Then, often with the support of Black Belt Masters from our teaching staff and from other Hek Ki Boen Kun Tao schools, they embark on an exciting adventure combining entrepreneurship with a rewarding teaching career in the martial arts. What does all of this mean for you? For one thing, we are organizing an intensive training program for new school operators starting very soon. Individuals or families interested in exploring this as a career move should check it out now so they may be put on the very exclusive list to join our school operator training program. There are a limited number of locations that we will allow in each area, and frankly, I would hate to fill the area you are interested in before you had an opportunity to join us.
Many of the existing school owners worried about several potential obstacles before joining our team, and you may share their concerns. A major concern was that they didn’t know much about the marketing, sales, administration or even teaching organization of a martial arts school. Hek Ki Boen Kun Tao ® is one of the top schools in the world because we have mastered each of those functions. Our training programs and support materials cover every aspect of your schools operations very effectively and thoroughly.
With our martial arts “boot camp” we fully prepare you as an instructor and a business manager. Additionally, in many cases, we provide high-ranking Black Sashes as staff for new schools. In some instances you will not be required to be a Black Sash or even to have previous martial arts training to become an owner-operator. We will assist you in every aspect of your schools operations. We will train you to be a certified Hek Ki Boen Kun Tao ® teacher or provide you with a Black Sash staff to work with your school operation
What we offer is a business opportunity that includes all of our training and development of a marketable martial arts system. Teaching the martial arts as a business is considerably less expensive that just about any other business investment. We can certainly walk you through every cost and give you some thoughts on how to finance your start-up if necessary. A typical start-up in the martial art can range from $62,800 to $128,000, depending upon a variety of factors, such as renting (or buying) a commercial building, build-out, business start-up costs, equipment, tuition fees, and the like (remember, this is typical for a professional martial arts school). Most of the people teaching martial arts as a career path finance $62K to $128K investment through second mortgages, friends and family investments, savings and bank loans, or lines of credit.
